You can make Bamboo Lanterns easily!

Satoyma landscape in Asuka, Yamato has a lot of bamboo groves. In Spring, you can get bamboo shoots there. Thanks to Mother nature, they are absolutely delicious when they are fresh!
Bamboo was commonly used in Japan for daily items. However, after the introduction of plastic products, plastic has become more popular and replaced bamboo.

Now people are more concerned about the environment issues and trying to search for eco-friendly alternatives. More people have started choosing bamboo over plastic. The Bamboo school in Bali is a very popular example.

In Asuka, Yamato, we are trying to preserve sustainable agricultural fields and effectively utilize bamboo to protect the environment. Without care, bamboo groves might destroy the biodiversity of their surroundings.

At YANT we provide various programs in relation to the Bamboo groves, for family, company, and students. One of them is “Bamboo Lantern Workshop.” You can go inside the bamboo groves to learn about the environment, then make lanterns by yourself. After going home with your lantern, you can still relate to Aduka and feel nature next to you by the warm lights.
