Spring, one of the most beautiful seasons in Asuka, Yamato

Cherry blossoms, very special flowers that we, Japanese, have cherished since the days of antiquility.　You see many of us enjoying, eating and drinking with family, friends and colleagues under the fully bloomed cherry blossoms, called “Cherry blossoms viewing-parties (お花見）” in this season.

Sadly because of COVID19, our tradition has halted since last spring. Under such circumstances, our symbolic flowers are still able to be seen here today, cheering us up.

In Asuka, Yamato, you can see cherry blossoms from mid March to early April. We certainly hope many people around the world, including you, could come over here next Spring to enjoy the beauty of the satoyama agricultural landscape, a nature-harmonious society.
